A. Information you provide
We collect Personal Information (information that can be used to identify you as an individual) such as ZIP code, email or payment information (such as account or credit card number and expiry date) when you register for the Services, and also collect details of your transactions when you use your registered payment card at a participating retailer. You also have the option to provide your mobile phone number for text message alerts. Unless you give us express written permission, we will not use your phone number for telemarketing purposes.
When you use the Services, we may provide you with the option to supply us with additional demographic information such as your age, gender, and zip code. We tie this demographic information to the Personal Information you submit to us. We do this to provide you with card linked offers that may be relevant to you.
B. Information we automatically collect
When you use the Site or open one of our emails, we automatically record information about you using automated tracking technology such as clear gifs or web beacons, cookies, and IP addresses. These terms are described in more detail below.
We automatically collect the following information:
- offers you link to in your account
- offers you redeem
- web browser type
- the website that referred you to us
- the web pages you viewed on the Site
- the dates and times you visited the Site
- your response to messages the Service sends
We use both session cookies and persistent cookies. We use session cookies to make it easier and safer for you to navigate our Site. We set a session scoped authentication cookie that allows a user into the Site. We set a session scoped security context cookie that is used to control the behavior of the security software we use. A session cookie will expire when you close your browser, you click the log out button, or if you have been inactive on our Site for longer than 20 minutes.
A persistent cookie remains on your hard drive for an extended period of time. You can remove persistent cookies by following directions provided in your Internet browser's "help" file.
We set an encrypted persistent cookie to identify you and gives you the ability to link an offer to your default account without logging in.
If you reject cookies, you may still use our Site, but your ability to use most areas of our Site and the Service will be limited. For example, you will not be able to log into your account if you reject cookies.
We employ a software technology called clear gifs (a.k.a. Web Beacons/Web Bugs), that help us better manage content on our site by informing us what content is effective. Clear gifs are tiny graphics with a unique identifier, similar in function to cookies, and are used to track the online movements of Web users. In contrast to cookies, which are stored on a user's computer hard drive, clear gifs are embedded invisibly on Web pages and are about the size of the period at the end of this sentence. We do not tie the information gathered by clear gifs to our customers' personally identifiable information.
We use clear gifs in our HTML-based emails to let us know which emails have been opened by recipients. This allows us to gauge the effectiveness of certain communications and the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns. If you would like to opt-out of these emails, please see "Email Communications."
As is true of most Web sites, we use a third party tracking service to gather certain information automatically and store it in log files. This information includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and clickstream data.
We use this information, which does not identify individual users, to analyze trends, to administer the site, to track users' movements around the site and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole.
C. Direct communications with us
When you send email or other communications to Linkable Networks, we may retain those communications in order to process your inquiries, respond to your requests and improve our services.
D. Single Sign-On
You can log in to our site using sign-in services such as Facebook Connect or an Open ID provider. These services will authenticate your identity and provide you the option to share certain personal information with us such as your name and email address to pre-populate our sign up form. When you sign in with Facebook, we will receive only information in your public profile, your friends list and your email address. Services like Facebook Connect give you the option to post information about your activities on this Web site to your profile page to share with others within your network.
Our Web site offers publicly accessible blogs or community forums. You should be aware that any information you provide in these areas may be read, collected, and used by others who access them. To request removal of your personal information from our blog or community forum, contact us at email@example.com. In some cases, we may not be able to remove your personal information, in which case we will let you know if we are unable to do so and why.
F. Social Media Widgets
G. Information about you provided by our clients and others
When we manage a card linked offer or loyalty program with your consent, a unique identifier, such as user token, along with your transaction details, will be shared with us and by participating partners, such as payment card brands, in order to process the card linked offer redemption request or loyalty purchase. We also obtain information about you from other third parties, such as payment card brands, in connection with your authorized transactions, with your consent. All of this data is considered "Transaction Data").
H. Information collected by our advertising partners
I. Other Third Parties
Linkable Networks will provide and receive information, including but not limited to Transaction Data, from third parties for whom it provides branded loyalty hosting services. If you choose to join a third party branded loyalty program, any information that you provide to that third party may be shared with Linkable Networks to the extent necessary to provide the loyalty program services to you.
